Pro-Dosa BOOST is a comprehensive, balanced, bioavailable nutrient paste formulated to replace essential nutrients lost in training, competition, transport, or stress. It is a cost effective, simple to use supplement that will help your horse to achieve optimal performance, recovery and health.

Although Pro-Dosa BOOST was originally developed as a pre-race treatment, it is used in endurance, show jumping, eventing, and dressage horses after hard training, for competition, and for travel.

Studies have shown that it can take up to four days for muscles to recover from exertion, so horses participating in multiple class on one day or in multiple day competitions may wind up performing considerably below their best. Studies have also shown that transport is a physical stress similar to racing. As a result, many horses’ muscles will be fatigued before they even begin their first class. Pro- Dosa BOOST helps to minimize lactic acid accumulation, muscle cell damage, and muscle fatigue enabling horses to perform better after transport or at the end of a long day of competition. It also helps horses to recover from the first day’s efforts and allows them to perform at their best again the next day.

Horses under the stress of competition, transport or illness can become dull, go off feed, or fail to drink well. Pro-Dosa BOOST contains significant doses of nutrients that help to stimulate appetite and thirst, improve coat and skin condition, and increase energy levels. (Pro-Dosa BOOST also contains high levels of vitamin B1, tryptophan, and tyrosine…nutrients that relax horses… so they are more likely to channel that extra energy into performance and not silliness)

Pro-Dosa BOOST contains a sizable dose of vitamin C, necessary for the absorption of iron from the gut, more iron than a shot of Hippiron, a therapeutic dose of folic acid, necessary to bind iron in the blood, all the B vitamins necessary for red blood cell and energy production, NRC requirements for the trace minerals used in red blood cell production and many other metabolic functions, amino acids to buffer lactic acid and repair muscle tissue, and balanced electrolytes. You should not need any other pre-event treatment. It does NOT contain Selenium which can be toxic or the fat soluble vitamins that will bind with iron and prevent its absorption.
